Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, highly responsible, and experienced Unarmed Dedicated Security Supervisor/Coordinator to oversee our dedicated security officers throughout the North Shore area of Massachusetts.

In this role, you will serve as the primary field supervisor and coordinator for assigned client sites, ensuring officers are properly scheduled, staffed, trained, and performing their duties in accordance with company and client expectations.

This is not a traditional Monday through Friday, 9-to-5 position. Our security operations are 24/7, and the successful candidate must be flexible, reliable, and willing to work varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Officer Oversight: Supervise, coach, and hold assigned security officers accountable for attendance, performance, professionalism, and compliance with company and client expectations.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate schedules for dedicated security officers, maintain adequate staffing levels, and address scheduling conflicts, call-outs, and open shifts.
  • Shift Coverage: Respond to last-minute call-outs and staffing shortages and personally cover vacant shifts when necessary to ensure uninterrupted client coverage.
  • Training & Coaching: Assist with training and coaching officers to ensure they understand site-specific responsibilities, post orders, and company policies.
  • Emergency Coverage: Remain available to respond to urgent staffing needs and operational issues when necessary, including outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Requirements

  • Security Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of security experience
  • Supervisory Experience: Previous experience supervising security personnel, managing schedules, or coordinating multiple posts is strongly preferred.
  • Open Availability: Flexibility to work a fluid schedule averaging 40–50 hours per week, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability as needed.
  • Regional Travel: Must be comfortable traveling between client locations throughout the North Shore area.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with officers, clients, and management.
  • Technology: Comfortable using scheduling software, digital reporting systems, email, and other company technology.
  • Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Reliability: Must have a strong attendance record and the ability to respond promptly to staffing and operational needs.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a dependable, proactive, and hands-on Supervisor/Coordinator who takes ownership of the operation and understands that successful security service depends on both strong leadership and reliable staffing.

The ideal candidate:

  • Leads by example and holds officers accountable.
  • Is organized and able to manage schedules, call-outs, and staffing changes effectively.
  • Can make sound decisions independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • Communicates professionally with clients, officers, and management.
  • Builds positive working relationships with both security personnel and clients.
  • Understands that exceptional customer service is just as important as security.
  • Is willing to step in and cover an open shift when necessary to ensure uninterrupted client service.
  • Is proactive about identifying and resolving staffing, performance, and site-related issues.
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards of professionalism, reliability, and integrity.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 security operation where priorities can change quickly.
